Issues

See the policies Jesse looks to address and his positions behind them.  Jesse is overly familiar with each issue as they have affected him personally.

Healthcare

Jesse believes that Kentucky residents should have accessible and affordable healthcare if they wish.  Too many Kentuckians are currently choosing between paying their mortgage, food, and healthcare (which is often put to the wayside).  No longer should we be forced to make decisions between the basics of life or medical care.

In May 2024 Jesse (Follow This Link For The News Story) was diagnosed with an unknown type of cancer; it tested negative for every known type of cancer.  They treated it as a melanoma and in August 2024 he was told he "would not live past Christmas".  With his resilience, love for life, and dedication, he learned much about the medical system.  He had a team of 4 Oncologists across 4 hospitals in 3 states.  We're proud to say he has been cancer-free since surgery in November 2024 but not before teetering on the brim of bankruptcy due to the outstanding medical costs.  It only takes one life-event to cause turmoil financially.  Jesse has lived this experience first-hand and is dedicated to seeing reducing these experiences.

It is our opinion each Kentuckian should not have to choose if they do not want.  We should have the access to keep our hard-earned money in our pockets, not give away our life savings just to survive.

We're Divided

Communities together achieve more than where we are as a divided Kentucky.  Trump's America has turned neighbor against neighbor.  This America has turned Republicans against themselves and Democrats on themselves.  We need to find the brightness in the world where there is none while accomplishing goals together for everyone.  Jesse has always had a positive outlook in the world and sees the best in people.

During Jesse's cancer journey, he brought his community together, that rarely spoke, resulting in the formation of Jesse's Angels (pictured below with Jesse as Santa).  This group of neighbors were those that checked in on Jesse during his journey.  They have transitioned into a group that now checks in on each other, other neighbors, cares for pets, has block parties and all while having a difference of political opinions.

People can work together when there are differences in political opinion when working toward a common focus when compassion is involved.  We're thankful to have Jesse as a leader in the forefront bringing empathy, unity, and progress to Kentucky.

Economic Equality

Kentucky, and their most vulnerable residents, deserve a livable wage.  Living wages should not be a luxury.  There are heavy barriers to well-paying jobs throughout Kentucky while breaking that glass ceiling is nearly impossible.

Jesse has had the privilege of visiting 49 states (missing Alaska) in his 39 years of life.  This privilege came not from wealth, but from private sector employment requiring the travel.  During his travels he has visited thousands of cities like Flint, MI that still doesn't have clean water; Moore, OK that is devastated by tornados every year; Lubbock, TX where the cattle farms face droughts every summer; or Rocky Mount, NC where jobs are sparse and people are great.  The one thing Kentucky has in common with all of these cities is the financial impact of local politics and the living wages people are forced to survive on.

The 4th District of Kentucky has great opportunity to do wonderous things IF we let the people decide what they want.  For 12 years, our opponent has not had a forum to hear what he has accomplished in Congress.  He is unwilling to face the people.  Jesse is determined to hear what the people want, what people need to make their dreams come true, and let the people of Kentucky decide how they want to thrive.

401K's and retirement savings thrived under democratic leadership and during Trumps first 100 days, we saw record losses.  Kentuckians should not pay the economic price for the lack of care by my opponent and his republican colleagues.  We should be able to work smart, not necessarily hard, and have a living wage with investments.

Financial education is not something taught in most educational establishments.  Having access to educational knowledge should not be only for college educated or wealthy citizens.  There should be a free platform available to all that wish to learn more about how to invest wisely and make their money work for them.  Currently, the rich get wealthier while the average citizen works hard just to survive and that is not morally ethical.

Jesse is dedicated to working with the people to make real change in living wages, maximizing their potential, and ensuring thriving wages are available to those that want them.
